Fitness Goal Setting

The Physical Education Department at John Long Middle School has made a commitment to prepare students to live healthy, productive, and physically active lives for the 21st Century. Students are provided with the foundation for making informed decisions that will empower them to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Our fitness program helps assess the current fitness level of youth ages 11-14, and we offer awards to encourage students to stay active.

What it's all about...

The Physical Fitness Program includes five events that measure muscular strength & endurance, cardiorespiratory endurance, speed, agility, and flexibility.  Students will be encouraged to set their own goals and try to achieve them through active participation.  Below are the goal setting worksheets by gender & age.  Good Luck!
